GiveGive Initiative: TomTom takes on Mamma Mia!
At TomTom Productions, we don’t just talk about community support; we put our money where our mouth is. Through our GiveGive initiative, we’re committed to helping local organisations like Wakatipu High School turning their creative visions into reality. Recently, we partnered with the school to elevate their production of Mamma Mia! —and we did it by offering our GiveGive Partnership Programme that made a real difference.
With our extensive production management and cutting-edge lighting and sound equipment, we transformed the school auditorium into a space worthy of the finest productions, proving that high-quality performances aren't confined to the big stages of the city. Our goal? To ensure that local talent has access to the tools they need to shine.
Jake Hansen, Drama and Performing Arts Technology Teacher from Wakatipu High School said it best: “Partnering with TomTom has been a game-changer for our high school productions. Their expert training and access to industry-level equipment have elevated the professionalism of our shows, giving students hands-on experience with the same tools used in top-tier venues. This real-world exposure not only enhances the quality of our performances but also builds valuable technical skills in lighting, sound, and production management. It’s opened up career pathways, boosted student confidence, and fostered a deeper understanding of what goes into live performances. We’re incredibly grateful for TomTom’s support in helping shape the next generation of creative talent.”
We're proud to support and invest in our community because when local organisations thrive, everyone benefits. The GiveGive initiative isn’t just about providing resources; it’s about crafting opportunities for our community and fostering a culture of creativity. So here’s to what’s next—more partnerships, more events, and more ways to support local talent, one production at a time!
