The Word Festival in Christchurch stands as a compelling example of how creativity and technology can converge to keep communities connected. The festival embraced a hybrid format, blending in-person gatherings with live-streamed events; to ensure audiences could participate whether they were seated in Christchurch venues or watching from home.
For all events that we work on, we make sure that people have their voices heard, literally and figuratively. At its core, this festival has always been about connection as it brings together writers, thinkers and audiences to explore stories, ideas and shared experiences. We leaned into digital innovation, creating what was effectively a “dual audience” experience. Being able to showcase our capabilities such as multi-camera live capture, real-time streaming, and integrated digital platforms, we enable festivals to extend beyond the physical venue.
